Our Story
After eight months of closure and two months of complete refurbishment, The Woodmancote reopened in May 2012, completely unrecognisable from its previous incarnation. Since 2013 it has been run by Terry and Melody, who have made it what it is today.
Inside, contemporary and traditional styles mix freely: white-painted brick and an ornate fireplace in one room, a candlelit library snug in the next. The kitchen keeps it simple and honest, all home-cooked fare, tailored to most people's pockets, from fresh fish and innovative vegetarian dishes to the Sunday roasts we're known for.
Come as you are. We're welly boot and dog friendly, and little diners are very welcome too.
